City of London Festival
Today I saw this image in the streets of London and I got impressed, The City of London Festivals, there was a piano and they wrote in it "Play me , I'm yours", so there were a guy playing the piano, very well, looked like a musician. I admire how the Londoners don't care about other people and they do show they talent , wherever it is possible. I can say that this city breath Art, and is amazing how people respect and supports it.

Bauhaus Exhibition
Last Friday , we went to a Barbican Centre, where is happening the Bauhaus exhibition. Bauhaus is the most famous Art School 1919 to 1933.
The Bauhaus movement changed the world design concept. At the exhibition you can see the evolution of the design and architecture. There is also the studies of different materials and colors , searching for the best way to connect function and beauty. And this design that changed the 19th century,we have big influence from this movement and we can see it around us. Is clearly the transition from huge constructions with a lot of details and after Bauhause we have Geometric and clean lines, without so much details but more functional. The begging of Modern art.
The German government in 1923 stipulated that the Bauhaus should do and exhibition, were the industry could see the new products that they were doing inside the school, so after is exhibition some the products started to be produced in mass, like the kid toys.
A lot of influents artist are there, Kandinsky , Paul Klee, Marcel Breuer and much more. Kandinsky and his primary colors study with clear shapes and colorful work.Kandinsky influenced in the work of many artist in that time. we studied at Bauhause for one year.
Marcel Brauer studied and was a teacher at Bauhause, his most famous work is the tubular steel furniture, the famous chair that have continuous lengths of steel achieved as minimum of material and a level of visual transparency which fits with the modernist desire for interior spaces.

Red Telephone Box
Everybody knows that the Red Telephone Box are a traditional symbol of London, they appeared in the streets around 1920, after some changes in 1980 they got the same shape and color until now.
Walking in streets of London I saw some different Red Telephone Box, so I got curious and I research what was going on with the typical Telephone Boxes. The project is called BT ArtBox from the British Telecom , in which some artists are giving a new "face" to the classic Red Box. It is for commemorating the birthday of an ONG, called Childline, that gives advice to kids from telephone. And after the exhibitions the Telephone Box are going to be sell and the money will go to the ONG.

London is always unexpected, sometimes you are walking in the streets and you get surprise in what you can see. Especially now during the summer and the Olympic Games coming soon, a lot of festival and exhibitions, there are so many that you can't know all of them .
Bringing art to the population is to bring knowledge, and is a good way to help a ONG. The artists can show they work and point of view and people can get this "message" everyone in the best way for themselves.
Sometimes I stop and think about how amazing this city is. How can a lot of amazing things happen in the same time. How can all this traditional and culture be always innovating. How they accept so easy the new things and how important the Art is for them.
Is clear that all this new concepts ,have a visible influence in the way people are here. It can be seeing in the attitudes , the way they dress.

A Incrível Estocolmo
